new Tennessee law bans landlords from renting to illegal aliens; far left sues | Eastern NC Now

Tennessee strengthens criminal laws on human trafficking

ENCNow

A new Tennessee law has gone into effect to ban landlords from renting to illegal aliens.  It strengthens the criminal law against human trafficking to make it a crime for a landlord to rent to an illegal alien by designating that as harboring an illegal alien and criminalizing that under state law.  Predictably, the far left has sued, hoping to find a crooked Obama judge or crooked Biden autopen judge to abuse their power and play far left politics.

Federal criminal law already makes it a federal felony to harbor an illegal alien, but it is not enforced nearly as much as it should be.   Under former Prime Minister Boris Johnson, the British government undertook a major campaign to go after landlords who rented to illegal aliens, hitting them with large fines.
