Albert “Eddie” Edward Sheppard III | Eastern NC Now

    Albert "Eddie" Edward Sheppard, III, 71, a resident of Washington, died Friday July 11, 2025, at his home.

    A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 19, 2025, at 11:00 Am in the Chapel of Paul Funeral Home & Crematory of Washington. The family will receive friends following the service.

    Eddie was born on June 11, 1954, in Beaufort County to the late Albert Edward Sheppard, Jr. and Joyce Andrews Sheppard. He attended Washington High School and earned an associates degree from Beaufort County Community College. On September 23, 1977, he married Frances Pittman. Eddie was a machinist with Weir Valve, retiring in 2011. He loved music, guitars, and cars. Eddie could fix anything and loved to tinker. He loved his family, especially his grandchildren. He was a member of Asbury Methodist Church. Eddie was a Mason with the Orr Lodge #104. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brothers, Stephen and Donald Sheppard.

    Survivors include his wife, Frances Pittman Sheppard of the home, his children, Carol Sheppard of Washington, and Scott Sheppard (Katie) of Washington, grandchildren, Cameron Sheppard (Christan), Latham Matkins, Lilly Kathryn Hill, Noah Sheppard and Ce Ce Sheppard, great grandchild, Robert Sheppard.

    In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Masonic Home for Children, 600 College St, Oxford, NC 27565.
