Good news: child genital mutilation clinics are shutting down | Eastern NC Now

result of Trump's executive order

ENCNow

One of President Trump's first executive orders was to cut off federal funds to children's clinics that offer child genital mutilation by either surgery or drugs for the purpose of "gender transition".   Now, at least ten clinics that had offered this butchery have either shut down entirely or at least stopped doing those Frankenstein style procedures.  Those closing include the very largest one in California, which is also facing lawsuits from some of their child victims.

A growing number of states have prohibited child genital mutilation by either surgery or drugs by state law.

In the UK, all such clinics had already been shuttered.  The government's National Health Service was reeling from scandals at its former Tavistock childrens clinic which had engaged in child genital mutilation.  The NHS issued new guidance over a year ago on gender confused children, saying most of them grew out of it naturally and became comfortable in their biological gender, and adopting a policy that doctors should not even suggest new names or pronouns, much less medical intervention.

North Carolina recently amended its laws to increase the statute of limitations for victims of child genital mutilation to sue doctors and other responsible to ten years. The bill was vetoed by ultra liberal Governor Josh Stein, but the veto was overridden by the legislature.
