    Willis Lee Joyner, Jr., age 76, a resident of Pantego, NC died Thursday August 14, 2025 at his home.

    A graveside service will be held 3:00PM Sunday August 17, 2025 at Yeatesville Cemetery and will be officiated by Ricky Adams. Pallbearers will be Tyler Sawyer, Tom Holloman, Richard Pugh, Chris Lamb, Paul Bartle, and TJ Van Essendelft.

    Mr. Joyner was born on January 30, 1949 in Greene County, NC to the late Willis Lee and Louise Shackleford Joyner. On December 10, 1965 he married JoAnn Bullock who survives. Mr. Joyner was a First Class Lineman for Tideland EMC from 1979 until his retirement in 2004. He was a member of Green Sea Hunting Club. Mr. Joyner never met a stranger and talked to everyone. He loved dogs, hunting, fishing and above all he loved his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mr. Joyner was a deacon at New Hope Church of Christ.

    Survivors include his wife, JoAnn B. Joyner of the home, three children, Michael Lee Joyner and wife Regina of Wilmington, Bonnie Joyner Adams and husband Bud of Pantego, Johnny Keith Joyner and wife Melissa of Scranton, ten grandchildren, Matthew Lee Adams, Amanda Joyner Baptiste, Morgan Lee Joyner (Sara), Nicholas Allen Gaskins, Kathryn Elaine Holdford, Aaron Skyler Adams and wife Samantha, Elizabeth Ann Joyner, Katie Joyner Perry and husband Ricky, Sarah LeeAnne Joyner, Alexis Lynn Joyner, and eight great grandchildren.

    He is preceded in death by his parents, a son at birth, Willis Lee Joyner, III, one brother, and three sisters.

    The family will receive friends from 6:00PM until 8:00PM Saturday August 16, 2025 at Paul Funeral Home of Belhaven.

    In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to New Hope Church of Christ, Pantego NC.
