Experts back Trump DHHS policy to stop "transing" kids with surgery or drugs | Eastern NC Now

Over a year ago, the National Health Service of the UK announced a new medical policy on gender dysphoria in children.  The NHS declared that most gender confused children grow out of it naturally and there is no need for medical intervention.  They recommended that doctors not suggest even new names or pronouns, and certainly not drugs or surgery.

A new report from the US Department of Health and Human Services now largely takes the same approach, and a scientific analysis of the report, known as a peer review, has approved that report.  The expert reviewers deemed the government report "scientifically sound" and "compelling".

The report recommended that the federal government "not fund, sponsor, promote, assist, or support the so-called 'transition'  of a child from one sex to another.".  It recommended psychotherapy as a treatment for gender dysphoria.  DHHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. described using surgery and drugs on gender confused children as "malpractice."

Other countries are following the same path.  New Zealand has recently banned use of "puberty blockers" (the same drugs used for chemical castration of rapists) on children:

In Canada, the Conservative run province of Alberta has also passed legislation to ban gender reassignment surgery on children and drug / hormone treatment for the same purpose.

Meanwhile, the left refuses to let go of their transgender obsession.

And the US Conference of Catholic Bishops has voted to prohibit sex change surgeries or drug / hormone treatments in Cahtolic funded hospitals.
