Elizabeth Ann Peters | Eastern NC Now

    Elizabeth Ann Peters, age 86, a resident of Washington Park, died Friday April 10, 2026 at her home.

    A memorial service will be held at a later date at St. Peter's Episcopal Church and will be officiated by Rev. Chris Adams.

    Ann was born in Beaufort County on February 16, 1940 to the late August Richard Peters, Jr. and Rebecca Powers Peters. She was a graduate of Washington High School. Ann was a lifelong member of St. Peter's Episcopal Church, a member of the O Henry Book Club, and an elections poll manager.

    Survivors include her brother, August Richard "Pete" Peters, III of Bath, two nephews, August Richard Peters, IV and wife Melonie of Hickory, Hal Davis Peters and wife Amanda of Washington, great nieces and nephews, Gus Peters V, Davis Peters, Ava Odell Peters, Emma Davis Peters, and numerous god children.

    In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Peter's Episcopal Church, P.O. Box 985, Washington, NC 27889 and Purpose of God Ministries.
