    Ruby Mitchell Paramore Colville, age 80, a resident of Washington, NC died Sunday April 26, 2026.

    A funeral service will be held at 11:00AM Saturday May 2, 2026 in the Chapel of Paul Funeral Home & Crematory of Washington.

    The family will receive friends from 5:00PM until 7:00PM Friday May 1, 2026 at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory.

    Mrs. Colville was born in Chowan County on June 15, 1945 to the late Burton Allen Mitchell and Ada Dunn Mitchell. She was a college graduate and earned her LPN. Mrs. Colville worked for Pitt Memorial Hospital. She attended Washington Assembly of God and more recently the Church of God of Prophecy. Mrs. Colville enjoyed going to church, eating Bojangles and Burger King, Reading her bible, her cats, and loving on her family.

    Survivors include her husband, John Taylor Colville, a Godson, Keith Rakowski and wife Bridget of Greenville, a Goddaughter, Kelli Gregory of Greenville, two grandchildren, Dixie and Summer, a sister, Mary Mitchell of Tyler, TX, and a step son, Jason Colville.

    She is preceded in death by her first husband James Stanley Paramore, two sisters, Rosa Lee Pullen, Lola Mae Harrel, and a brother, William David Mitchell.
