    GREENVILLE, N.C., Nov. 20, 2013     Kohl's Department Stores will present a $20,693 donation to Vidant Medical Center to support the Eastern Carolina Injury Prevention Program. The event will be held at the Kohl's store on Galleria Drive at 3 p.m. Nov. 20.

    Since 2007, Kohl's has donated more than $91,000 to Vidant Medical Center for child safety projects through Kohl's Cares®.

    Kohl's commitment to Vidant Medical center is made possible through the Kohl's Cares cause merchandise program. Through this initiative, Kohl's sells $5 books and plush toys, with 100 percent of net profit benefiting children's health and education programs nationwide, including hospital partnerships like this one.     Eastern Carolina Injury Prevention Program

    The Eastern Carolina Injury Prevention Program is a joint effort of Vidant Medical Center and East Carolina School of Medicine. The mission of ECIPP is to improve the health of the citizens of eastern North Carolina by reducing the impact of injuries. This mission is accomplished by facilitating community projects and systems which decrease the incidence and severity of injuries occurring in the 29 counties served by Vidant Health. The ECIPP vision is that citizens of eastern North Carolina will be safe and injury free on roadways, at work and school, at home and play and safe from violence at all times.
