Texas AG Ken Paxton wins huge settlement from hospital for child genital mutilation surgeries | Eastern NC Now

The Texas legislature has already outlaws child genital mutilation surgery and drugs for "gender reassignment" but that has not stopped Attorney General Ken Paxton from investigating a hospital for such procedures already performed and winning a huge settlement from them.  Texas AG Paxton launched the investigation of Texas Children's Hospital for Medicaid billing fraud on the genital mutilation procedures.

In the settlement, Texas Children's Hospital agreed to open a De-transition Clinic to help reverse, as much as possible, the "gender transition" procedures and to offer those services free to victims for five years.  The hospital agreed to terminate the five "woke" doctors who had been involved in the gender transition procedures prior to their being outlawed by the legislature, and to agree to never credential them at the hospital again.  The hospital agreed to never perform the "gender transition" surgeries again.  It also agreed to reimburse Texas $10 million for the fraudulent Medicaid billing.
