Press Release:

Raleigh, N.C.     The Office of Governor Pat McCrory announced the following appointments today:

    Board of Review

   •  Keith Holliday (Guilford County) - Holliday is currently president and CEO of the Carolina Theatre of Greensboro Inc. He served as the mayor of Greensboro from 1999-2007. Prior to being mayor, he also worked at First Citizens Bank and was an at-large representative of the Greensboro City Council.

   •  Stanley Campbell (Mecklenburg County) - Campbell worked as a senior forensic accountant for the Fairfax Group prior to his appointment. He is a former member of the Charlotte City Council, an entrepreneur and has served on the Mecklenburg County Alcohol Control Board.

   •  Jeanette Doran (Wake County)  -  Doran was recently the executive director and general counsel for the North Carolina Institute for Constitutional Law. Doran has worked in various capacities for the institute since 2005. Prior to this, Doran was a defender educator at UNC-Chapel Hill's Institute of Government.

"These three bipartisan appointees are talented, confident leaders in their field who represent diverse parts of our state and who will excel within the parameters of the board," said Governor McCrory.

The three-member board hears appeals arising from decisions of the Lower Appeals Department of the Division of Employment Security (DES).

These board members are appointed to serve four-year terms. Jeanette Doran, as a licensed attorney, will serve as chair of the board as required by legislation.

"Due to the hard work of its employees, DES has had a turnaround year in 2013," said Governor McCrory. "This change is in terms of the debt owed to the federal government and the increase in customer service to our employers and claimants. We anticipate working with this review board to continue this outstanding progress."
