On August 15, 2011 at approximately 7:26 a.m., the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a break-in in progress at a residence on Mallison Harvey Road in Washington, NC.

On the night of August 12, 2011, Sgt. Charles Rose of the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office Patrol Division was patrolling in the Aurora area. At approximately 9:04 p.m., Sgt. Rose observed an occupied vehicle stationary on the shoulder of the road near Mary’s Chapel Church Road and Walker Road.
