To recognize, educate and celebrate this important North Carolina native, the historic Inner Banks town of Plymouth is hosting the first annual North Carolina Black Bear Festival on Saturday, June 6th.

There are three types of tours to choose from. The first two are on Federal land, (Pungo Unit of Pocosin Lakes National Wildlife Refuge) and State land, (Tidewater Research Station).

The cost of the tour is free, with donations accepted.
