Small businesses across the country are in danger due to Democrats’ Net Investment Income Tax (NIIT) proposal. With this legislation, 66 percent of small businesses in North Carolina are in at risk of taking the blow from Joe Biden’s tax hike – that’s over 2.2 million jobs on the line.

According to the North Carolina Department of Commerce, the state gained 24,224 new jobs through business and industry and $10.1 billion in new private investment in 2021. These announcements were new economic development records for North Carolina.
