The chief of staff for Gov. Roy Cooper and his lead attorney are being called to testify before a legislative oversight committee next week over allegations that they attempted to intimidate the head of the North Carolina’s State Bureau of Investigation.

The chief of staff for Gov. Roy Cooper and his lead attorney are being called to testify before a legislative oversight committee next week over allegations that they attempted to intimidate the head of the North Carolina’s State Bureau of Investigation.
 
On Monday afternoon Jones sent a letter to legislators saying "We welcome the opportunity to testify on this topic, concerns raised about the SBI and the consequences of the General Assembly’s efforts to remove normal oversight of the Bureau."
