With the season of giving at hand and Giving Tuesday 2019 right around the corner, it is a great time for state employees to consider volunteer work with groups that are helping hurricane-impacted areas recover and rebuild.

Governor Pat McCrory announced the availability of federal grant funds today to support AmeriCorps programs in the state for 2014. Funds will be awarded by the North Carolina Commission on Volunteerism and Community Service to organizations and agencies that focus on economic opportunity.
