This quality is rare in Beaufort County politics, rarer still than what passes for journalism outside of this brave publication /this unique platform.

The 1st Amendment guarantee to a Free Press and Free Political Speech is a noble gift bequeathed by our Founders unto an often unworthy People. Don't waste it by not being a knowledgeable electorate; an electorate that will rush to the polls, an electorate that will listen, learn and act in a manner that befits a Good People.

Stand up for your community; embrace your muckrakers; embrace your brave Free Press, and maybe WE will continue to deserve this Free Constitutional Republic, with its many local communities that deserve its best and wisest leaders steering US all upon a better and wiser path.

It is my experience that bureaucrats, whose job is to source funds to others to justify those bureaucrats' existence, will find a way to place that money through 'proper channels" employing whatever duplicitous means necessary.

Over the years, I have relaxed standards to allow Guest Comments, but the emails must be real. Over many millennia, Jews have been persecuted /mass murdered because of their race, because of their faith. I do believe they qualify as a protected class, even with some Democratic Socialists.

I have purposely stayed out of City of Washington politics, even though I am taxed at the same huge amount of a tax increase - the highest one year increase in Beaufort County's modern times - just like all the rest of you Washington citizens must now suffer.

I was very careful about my vote this year, and yes, I enthusiastically voted for Gary Ceres, so did my wife, but that is all I wish to state at this point.

Good luck to all candidates; and this I have learned after to many years of seeking elected office: If you deserve to win this time, you probably will.

Big Bob: Do you realize that Steve Rader has been an attorney for many decades, and well understands the machinations of politics from the constitutional base point to the point of dealing with real people, their needs, but not to the detriment of this Representative Republic?
