Prendiegirl: So far, from my very short investigation, the newest statute 47-1A deals with the demand to institute electronic registration and storage; it does not negate hard copy registration of deeds from an earlier general statute in 1973.

I will to talk to the Secretary of State's office and the UNC School of Government, on my own, to get their perspective as to how to accomplish what I think is best, but only if it is perfectly proper to allay my concerns and the concerns of others regarding the best record keeping here in the new age, an age of great uncertainty when it comes to electronic digital storage.

We will settle all this out at the next commissioners' meeting, and then Commissioner Richardson can apologize, or not.

It may also be that we vote to give additional direction to the Beaufort County Registry.

Carolyn Garris: By your words here, I reckon Beaufort County Commissioner Richardson had it all wrong.

It would have been well received then if a member of the bureaucratic staff had corrected any error in his information, as was conveyed Monday night.

I'll try to come by next week so you can show me how the hard copies are handled. I was deeply under the impression that the hard copies were still being made, kept and catalogued, and then, Monday night, I was somewhat taken aback when Commissioner Richardson was NOT roundly disabused of his allegations by the aforementioned staff.

As someone who understands Real Estate here in North Carolina, as well understands governing here in North Carolina, I was doubly shocked that Beaufort County would be in such a tenuous, undefendable position, in regards to provable title as a "Race to Record State", should there ever be an EMP burst by man's hand, or a massive and deadly solar flare by an act of God.

And then there is also the hacking by foreign agents, etc.

Thank-you for taking this time to assuage me from these terrible fears.

I just read the instructions for these math problems, and if I could revert back a few decades during my formative years, I learned to read carefully the instructions to the problem, then answer the problem completely, and then check my process to make sure I did it right.

Now consider this: What are we to think when the person writing the the instructions to the problem is an idiot?

We citizens, we county commissioners elected by citizens, better keep a tight grip on all school boards, their administrations, their teachers, and their new age curriculums until WE can turn around this failing education system ... Because it is an unquestionable fact that it is failing.

Pendiegirl: The problem with a public's private meeting about a public matter is the absolute sanctity of transparency. Unreservedly, this particular issue is at the core of the public's business, and this public issue, in my considerable opinion, must be deliberated in public because of the public's absolute need for complete transparency.

The Beaufort County Commissioners are the premier public body for all of Beaufort County's citizens, and we must therefore act accordingly.

If this is a directive by state government bureaucrats, that can be corrected with the help of other smart people. It this is a Beaufort County mistake, then it will definitely be corrected.

Countrygirl411: I will write what I know soon, but suffice it to say, the key is recording a hardcopy (not the original), indexed by hardcopy at the County Registry. That is what is paramount as per state general statues (without research I can not be specific which statute).

Bubba: You are right in that this part of the Conflict of Interest statute is the most basic and integral of directives of what an elected official MUST NOT do.

Then, if it is actually true that there was a 3/2 vote in the affirmative, and it would NOT have passed unless this council person had not literally self-delt himself this benefit, that benefit would not have conveyed otherwise to him.

Does not the City of Washington not have an attorney to help this process along in a proper manner compliant with the NC General Statutes?

If an attorney was present, this should not have happened. This makes me think that something this basically foul could not have happened, so I wish to withhold judgement until I know for sure.

Could someone get me the official minutes of that vote? I will publish them here for comments, and "we shall see who is swimming naked."

I just found this report that slipped by our publisher /webmaster - me - thus realizing that I missed this most consequential foreteller of events that are at the core of the Biden Crime Family, and the fully weaponized Department of (in)Justice, led by Corrupt DO(in)J AG Merrick Garland in this massive coverup, persecution of former President Donald Trump.

What I gathered from reading this older, unreported (here at ENC NOW) post is that the Corrupt and Weaponized Department of (in)Justice was walking through the official "shell game" reporting of their non intention to even perform a limited investigation into the Biden Crime Family was conducted, when, in all reality, there was no investigation at all.

In hindsight, we now know that it only took one honest Delaware judge to begin the unravelling (of the "Sweetheart Deal") this massive corruption within the DO(in)J that was long considered real by America's brightest - our patriots - to finitely now realize that the DO(in)J is beyond any redemptive process.

More of this hindsight analysis to come should I find any more of these nuggets within this Realm of the Real.

Actually, the county commissioners only enforce what does not apply in regards to state general statutes of conflict of interest, and then that is only enforced if the parties involved are poorly connected to the Center /Left Coalition of that same board of county commissioners.

Nothing is consistent with this group because real knowledge is often the first casualty when making decisions that will almost always cost the taxpayers more money for less value.

I am extremely familiar with that Hyde County case, so is Commissioner Hood Richardson; yet, there are no other Beaufort County Commissioners that understand that case; also, it is beyond the intellect of these commissioners' county manager, and county attorney, which frightens me a good bit that this simple construct of wrong is well beyond their levels of comprehension; these people that are paid extremely well.

The problem could be as simple as: How far these people in power will allow their minds, their governing spirits to become corrupted? Then one one must question, with so much on the line in these troubling times: How can proper decisions be made when there is a complete aversion to common sense simply because there is a corrupted path that must first also be satisfied. The general statutes of North Carolina are clear for men and women who are not bound by these corruptive influences; that is just the real of it.

Now for the big questions: How does one remove those corruptive influences? And, when that process must begin, just how deep is the corruption that is yet to be rooted out, how must it be cleaved from the public's self governing body?

I have the answer for that issue too, and just like that Hyde County case, it is not that complicated. It just requires non corrupted ideals, and a full working brain. Now, where do you find those qualities?
