If criminals followed our laws, we would not need more laws. It does absolutely no good to create more laws just to have more charges. The only thing that will slow the killings is SWIFT AND HARSH punishment. Not a forty year wait in prison, with enough time to contemplate finishing what you started. When there are multiple witnesses such as the church shooting in South Carolina, death should have found its mark within 72 hours of catching him.

Went to get my yearly inspection the other day. Nurse checked my weight, height, checked my BP, eye sight, took a blood sample, and had me check my aim by peeing in a tiny little cup, then went to wait for the doctor. Doc comes in, listens to my thumpin gizzard, taps on my back while I am inhaling and exhaling, assaulted my arthritic knees with a rubber mallet and then asked if I was still on my diet.

ME: YEP. WHY?
DOC: YOURE NOT LOSING ANY MORE WEIGHT. WHAT DID YOU HAVE FOR BREAKFAST?
ME: 5 EGGS.
DOCTOR: UH...DONT YOU THINK THAT WAS A BIT MUCH?
ME: NO. YOU SAID EGGS WERE GOOD FOR MY DIET.
DOCTOR: WELL, THATS A LOT. WERE THEY FRIED, SCRAMBLED, POACHED, OR BOILED?
ME: CADBURYS.

This how Obama gets away with everything. The powers who CAN stop him, refuse to do so. Same thing is happening in Beaufort county. Follow this link to see absolute proof. www.beaufortobserver.net
If we put their noses to the grindstone each and every time they step out of line, soon they will find it easier to do their job correctly the first time.

Isn't there a legal manuver, motion, or something, in which commisioners can be charged and prosecuted for doing this? How else could we stop actions such as this?

I almost, ALMOST, didn't read the story. For just a split second, I thought Oduma may have had a real thought. Then I realized "double down" was a gambling term and I knew better than to take that gamble.

Since nobody has the guts to do it, I will. These lame brained commissioners who are purposely making wrong decisions for our couture are playing the same game as Obama. That old, I'll get by with everything I can get by with crap. It's wrong, imorale and is going to hurt them in the future. Things always come back and bite you in the ass and their bite is comming.

You would think that people would learn from others adventures in stupidy. Before you decide to break the law, stop and ask yourself one question. WITH EVERY ONE BEFORE ME GETTING CAUGHT....WHAT ARE MY CHANCES OF NOT GETTING CAUGHT? If you will answer yourself honestly, you will not suffer going to jail.

And during this "driving suspension", there were people actually going back and forth to work. So my question is...Did someone put on the stupid hat, gloves, pants, shirt, shoes, underwear, tie...well, you get the picture.

The cloud sure makes keeping up with important documents or even pictures and videos and whole lot easier. Can't take your laptop with you, save those important items to the cloud and access them on your smartphone.

I used to ask how much more stupid people could get. I refuse to say this anymore as folks now accept it as a personal challenge.

Next time this affliction pounces upon you or a loved one, simply ingest three to four NAVEL oranges during a 24 hour period.

Assuming Mr. Dixon did in fact transpose the number of beds in the PCDC, exactly how does that make him a liar? The very poeple crying that we need a new jail are lying. It's not needed but rather WANTED. I'm mad as hell that the "gang" is willing to spend my money and yet I have no say in how their personal money is spent. How can we spend this money knowing that Beaufort county can not even support the expense of running a much needed hospital? Who was it that "gave" our hospital to Vidant? Washington wants to update the watetfront. I would much rather see the jail money spent on a new look for Stewart Parkway. At least with this option, me and my family members will get some enjoyment of our spent money. Put the attorneys and judges on notice that speedy trials are a must and if jail time is required after the trial, the defendant is to be shipped to a place built to house prisoners instead of keeping them at home for family convience....save OUR money.

OMG!!! How far does anyone have to look to see that Harry RAN the sherrif department with the blessings of Alan Jordan? Bickering about something as petty as a miss quoted number of beds in another county jail is a HUGE mistake on his part. We are talking about spending millions of dollars verses thousands of dollars. We can ship many inmates to Pitt County, or any other county for 20 million dollars and save the county money. And yes crime will continue. And as it does, it's the judges turn to save Beaufort County money by sending these criminals away. Combine that with a speedy trial and now you have saved tax payers millions and made our county a safer place to live.....which just might draw jobs to the area.

"There are RINOs here amongst us, and they must be celebrated as they probably wish it to be". They need to be removed from "power/office" by their peers much as Obama has done with so many others who did not agree with his thinking. If Democraps can change the rules...the by golly, so can Republicans. After all. It's no longer about rules and regulation. But more about a way of thinking what you want. You think it....then it's ok to do.

Why not name those responsible for this? They didn't mind undoing a good thing. Surely they are not ashamed of what they have done. Name they publically so they may gain their "fame" or "honor amongst thieves" as it's called. We need to stop protecting people like this...especially when they are so destructive to our society. Let's not forget when we chose to not expose Barack Obama for what he is. We waited...thinking good would prevail, and look at the mess we are in now. Once it became ok to frown on Christians and put us on the back row, it became ok for me to voice my opinion in everything even louder and more often than before.

It's not as if the OMG has not been told repeatedly that this was coming. It has never taken a rocket scientist to figure out the lies that have been shoved down the throats of America. But what I can't wait to see is the expressions on all those peoples faces, once they discover they really have been had....BY THEIR OWN HAND.

"I will tell you that he probably isn't the first who feels they were misquoted," said Prokos. This translates (or taken out of context as the WDN does)You tell me what you want to, we will twist into something that sell newspapers. If it does not fit the WDN's agenda or message, then, they either DON'T print it, OR turn it around to fit their view. HOW HARD IS IT TO PRINT WHAT IS ACTUALLY SAID???

There is not one shred of evidence that actually points to cutting 26 teaching position in Beaufort County. Start on Smaw Road and get rid of some of those positions, as well as within the bus garage. Then jump to each school. How many teacher assistants, assistant principles, and extra office personel, could be cut? These are NON TEACHING jobs. Between un-needed personel, and DUPLICATED JOBS, there are your 26 teaching jobs that are desperately needed in Beaufort County. We can't leave the decissions up to the BOE, since they already are in the job protection mode. Let's get the county commisioners to cut those jobs. Why disrupt our children's education due to stupidity.

This is going to become very interesting now that 6 Americans have been murdered because the were "spying for Americans and spreading Christianity". If this does not convince Obama, Congress, Senate, and everyone else, that this needs to be stopped, they all should be thrown out.

Maybe we should build mega church's in these Muslim countries. Maybe when American's see how the radical's react to our church's being built on their ground, we might be more willing to take a stand and be heard. Our government should put a stop to this, but we all know it will never happen.

Why not distract everyone and stall for time? The "stall" for time would allow remaining time (July 13th) to get here with much confusion and cause mayhem.

Was there some kind of secret voting before the notification to WDN, to vote OUT the BO and BCN, because Hood Richardson is on the Board? I can't see Hood agreeing to these two news outlet's to be left out. Somethings up here and it's starting to look very familar.

I have been a truck driver for nearly 30 years. I have yet to see a safe rest area. They are magnets for unlawful activity even when paid workers are present. I do not believe that the county should put the public at risk for so few jobs. The dangers outweigh the benefits.

Since the DMV is going to use this facilty, why not build a truck weigh/inspection station instead? This would generate money for the state as well as getting those high speed SUV's running 90 mph up and down the road, chasing those 55 mph trucks, OFF THE ROAD.
