As Trump says, we need to stop putting up stupid people as candidates. We certainly do not need a lobbyist to pick up the same ball. Where can we find a good businessman like Trump?

Great news. Tillis has been misrepresenting our state for way too long. It is good to finally see him on the way out.

I have held my nose and voted for Tillis many times in the past.

If there is a primary, and Tillis has not conceded his position, I will vote for the other guy.

Likewise in the past, I did not vote for Senator Burr during many election cycles. For some of you Tillis detractors out there, I sincerely believe Burr was worse than Tillis.

Our shrimpers have taken an important stand and set a great example for all of us trying to save our heritage. Thay said they would not take it anymore, and we all need to do that on EVERY important issue.

President Trump said about Tillis: "He loves China made windmills that will cost a fortune, ruin the landscape, and produce the most expensive Energy on Earth" (from one of the linked articles above). We need a senator with a conservative Republican agenda, not a Greta Thunberg agenda. Don Brown is my choice in 2026.

For many (most?) Democrats in the judicial system, it is all about the politics of the moment, not foundational principles, and that badly undermines the Rule of Law, and indeed democracy itself.

Tillis MUST be defeated in 2026. He and Roy Cooper are two peas in a leftwing pod. I held my nose to vote for Tillis against my better judgment in the general election before as the lesser of the evils, but he is as big an evil as any Democrat. I will NEVER make that mistake again. Lets do all we can to take him down in the primary so we can get a senator we can be proud of, unlike the embarassment that Thom Tillis has been. If Tillis survives to the general election, I just won't vote in the senate race because there is not a dimes worth of difference between him and Cooper.

Recently, I attended a Pitt County Board of Realtors Luncheon and extravaganza, where the middle-aged speaker - the state association president - engaged in an impromptu exchange; where he, the speaker, and myself, the attendee, publicly discussed DEI as I was halfway through my chocolate dessert.

The Middle-Aged Association President expressed: "Right now on all forms, created by the North Carolina Association of Realtors, the subject of DEI and its content is now scrubbed, removed from all forms you will use going forward."

Stan Deatherage, as erstwhile Realtor intuitively ... Claps loudly and utters a sincere and effective cheer.

The Middle-Aged Association President (staring in the direction of the clapping, cheering Deatherage queried): "And you think this is a good thing?" Continuing in retort, "DEI is important, and will be necessary on all our forms, for every communication of our Association's business until every homebuyer, every Realtor's client knows: Inclusivity and Equity in this Diverse Society within North Carolina."

In a state of unrequited puzzlement, the Associated President continued to cast his gaze upon me, even though I had now stopped clapping and cheering, just like myself, the estimated 4 other half-hearted clappers, out of about 120 Realtors in attendance, had withdrawn the slapping palms in an haphazard rhythm out of lack of momentum, there at the Greenville Hilton, that day in early June, 2025 ... As if he expected a detailed, concise answer from this: Grizzled Realtor of some great esoteric knowledge; a 7 term Conservative Beaufort County Commissioner; Publisher /Webmaster Extraordinaire and Digital Impresario; not to mention a Writer of all manner of prose, non prose and whatnot ... So, yes I instinctively responded.

And, not to disappoint, as expected, an unperturbed Stan Deatherage blurted out simply, and without much regard for the fanfare of perfection, succinctly retorted ... "DEI is an abomination!" And nothing more was said.

Continuing on, after the profession of an alternate and unexpected reality within this abrupt measure of discourse, the Middle Aged Provocateur and After Dinner Speaker continued his gaze upon my person for a few long seconds, as if he expected a more robust explanation, in debate, regarding this tattered and lost issue - DEI ... Of which I could have duly given such in the great spirit of refined verbosity, and would have done so in any political setting; however, I did not here, then ...

My Chocolate Cake was only half eaten, and the hour was late.

In hindsight, it would have been rather nice if the wait staff had brought me that first cup of coffee with cream. Coffee is a welcome substitute for ice cold milk.

So, Thom Tillis wants to accept a $4 Trillion tax increase on the American people so he can preserve giving Medicaid to illegal aliens???? Not only does he need to be defeated, but also tarred and feathered and run out of the country across our southern border on a rail southbound. NEVER TILLIS.

It is an outrage that a far left ideological group like this is getting any of our taxpayer money in the first place. Cut them OFF.

I really do not know of any functionally intelligent Democratic Socialists on the national stage; having said that, why is it that the most boisterously stupid members of that drowning political party always seem to become their leaders in these dark days of that party's imminent self-destruction?

How can President Trump accomplish so many more important things than other presidents before him?

Pushing European nations to be better vested in the defense of their freedoms makes perfect sense.

After Cheeseman and his school board yes-men refused to do anything meaningful on that "Gender Unicorn" incident, it is likely that there is a lot more stuff like that hiding in Beaufort County Schools, and some obscene and perverted books in libraries available to young children.

It should not be to big of a stretch of one's imagination to understand, from this report, why Hillary Clinton chose Tim Kaine to be her running mate in the 2016 election against Donald J. Trump.
