The danger is that if the Democrats ever get their people in control of our Supreme Court, they are likely to "discover" some major limititations on free speech written in invisible ink or something in the First Amendment, that nobody, including its drafters ever knew was there. Our liberties are only safe as long as we have a common sense majority on the Supreme Court. That is one of the many reasons we desperately need to get Biden GONE.

DEI is designed for one thing, and that is creating divisions in our society that the far left can exploit politically. Everything else is only window dressing.

The only person I see on these boards trying to rewrite history is Bigot Bob. Most of the illegal alien invaders pouring into the US are military age males, not women and children, and most of the discussion I have seen involves focusing on other deterrants instead of shooting them. As I recall, the incidents involving border guards in other countries having to use their gun to defend their borders did not involve anyone getting killed.

Why can't you see people as individuals, Bobbie, instead of always having to characterize everything by race? These is a word for those who see race behind every bush and under every rock, and that word is "racist".

That video in the original post from famous retired Constitutional Law Professor Alan Dershowitz clearly describes how this is a thrown together nothingburger of a case, but given the biased judge and the slanted jury pool still carries a real danger of a conviction. That is the real danger to our Constitutional republic.

As someone who spent decades practicing criminal law, the refusal of Judge Merchan to recuse himself appalls me as his conflict of interest is evident. Trump's lawyers followed up their motion to recuse with a motion for change of venue, which also would have taken Merchan off the case in addition to getting it moved to somewhere that a fair jury pool would have been possible. I did not see them follow that with a motion for a special venire, which would have kept the case in Manhattan but brought in jurors from elsewhere. Jurors from, say, Staten Island would have given a much fairer jury pool.

ONe thing that was a big red flag on jury bias was the answers reported on where jurors got their news. New York City has three high circulation newspapers, the very liberal New York Tiimes, right-leaning New York Post, and the not too political New York Daily News. Not a single one was reported as using the New York Post or New York Daily News as their news source, but most of them reported getting their news from the Trump hating New York Times.

I also have never seen a case where jurors names were kept secret. That gives a shady appearance to our judicial system.

just about every topic in this publication is about exclusion.
You have CV and CT rewriting history from the KKK perspective.
You have BH and RH advocating shooting women and children in the face for entering the US illegally.
Just about everybody wants the LBGTQ people to disappear and wont even admit non-binary people exist.
Most want to exclude women from controlling their own bodies.

in America, historically speaking, white people have had it their way. The mere mention of including others results in pearl clutching.
On the other hand I appreciate your reaction to the feeling of exclusion. It's real and it sucks. Now that you feel it, any chance you might understand what others have been feeling for a very long time? A little empathy?Maybe?

Fortunately, in America our First Amendment protects us from this hate speech malarky. That is not true in Europe, and if you look at where "hate speech" laws have taken root, they ARE being used to suppress a wide range of political ideas. The French senator prosecuted for posting "immigration kills" on social media is not the only example of opponents of illegal immigration being attacked using "hate speech" laws. But it goes beyond that as feminists are also being prosecuted for trying to defend womens spaces against biological men. In Finland, a former member of that country's cabinet has even been prosecuted for "hate speech" for posting a Bible verse online (she was found non guilty).

BTW, saying Hispanics _ illegal aliens IS racist. Being an illegal alien is a matter of violating our immigration laws, NOT someone's ethnic identity.
