The most important form of diversity in education is diversity of thought, and the left in American education is trying to stamp that out so that their ideology will be the only one offered. That must be corrected. One way to do that is viewpoint affirmative action. Require that no university facultry be less than 30% conservative or less than 30% liberal. To strike a balance, when a viewpoint is underrepresented, all new hires must be from that viewpoint until 30% is reached. Heck, then raise it to 35%, then 40%. Give students a balance of viewpoints, not one-sided ideological propaganda. Our legislative leadership is letting us down on diversity of viewpoint, and Jon Hardister, who wants to be Commissioner of Labor, has been the committee chairman in the House who has sat on his hands and let this happen.

Yes the climate cult IS a cult. So is wokeism and its component transgenderism. Neither conservative nor liberal political ideology is, however. When the left tries to claim that it is, then that is just another aspect of their totalitarianism and desire to suppress ideas other than their own. The next big issue for the North Carolina state government and its 100 separate body politic boards of county commissioners is to refine the issue of school choice and to overtly manage the University System since it has fallen so far, so fast, for so long.

Measured efforts are being made now to reclaim the field of sanity from the Woke Fools, overpaid and underwhelming in their furtive fields of nefarious endeavors, but there may need to be a far greater push to correct this evil of indoctrination over education, as sanity must eventually prevail if this Representative Republic is to survive.

Washington and Beaufort County now stand at the brink of the best opportunity to progress and grow that it has had in a long while if poor leadership does not kill it. The development of the Airport is bigger than many realize. We now have 25 boatbuilders in a 35-mile radius of Washington. The opportunity for residential growth is huge if promoted and handled well. This is a time for leadership that understands city planning and future vision. Leading in this climate means having a basic understanding of business and management. We do not have that now and we can help this by electing Bobby Roberson as our mayor.

What is our Republican legislature doing to protect academic freedom from these despicable "woke" bullies on college campuses who attack anyone who disagrees with their Marxist ideology? The "woke" called "decent human beings"??? What are you smoking? The "woke" want to destroy our history. They promote sexual grooming of children. They want to curtail parental rights.
