As to non-lethal means to prevent entry by illegal aliens, I wonder why Texas does not outfit its National Guard and law enforcement on the border with tear gas and other riot control gas. It seems that would deter illegal alien incurions.

Most European countries today have water cannon in their riot control arsenals. It is time America got some, too. There are some good videos of illegal aliens trying to storm the Polish border from Belarus being blasted back into Belarus with water cannon over the last year or so. We need some of them on the southern border.

WOKE has already turned their insanity on the entire country, indeed much of the world. Illegal immigration is part of that insanity. It needs to be stopped, and to quote a popular woke phrase on another current dispute "by any means necessary". Actual use of deadly force should be the very last resort, but there are times like with the Greeks, that it may have to be used once to send a message. Illegal immigration is an existential threat to western civilization and simply must be stopped. There are a lot of tools in the tool kit that the Biden traitors are not using, that hopefully will do the job - water cannon like the Poles, tear gas, cattle prods, and cutting the pull factors like welfare as Iceland and Denmark have done. Building the wall is also a major factor. Walls have worked in other countries but woke Biden refuses to implement it here. Most important, we need to start sending them home. Failed illegal invaders being turned around by Australia's Operation Sovereign Borders was what put a lot of migrant smugglers out of business. Nobody wanted to spend the money to pay for their services any more. Mayve we even need to do like Sweden and pay them to voluntarily go home, as it is cheaper than paying them welfare. We do not need to be like Germany, where 60% of their welfare spending goes to illegal alien "asylum seekers". We also need to change our interpretation of asylum laws, and do like Hungary, and simply not accept them when they are already in a safe country, as we are entitled to do under the asylum treaties.

Bobbie, let me correct a few of your false assertions:
- most illegal aliens are military aged males, not "families" - the illegal aliens who rushed the Texas National Guard were armed with knives and shanks, other illegal aliens have come in armed with guns and explosives. They are NOT all "unarmed" - people from all races are coming over the border illegally. THey ALL need to be stopped. Those who are "brown" do not have any special priveleges.

Authorizing deadly force does not necessarily mean having to actually use it. The fact that it is authorized is a big deterrent, in and of itself. Latvia's Interior Minister authorized "whatever level of force is necessary" to keep illegal aliens out, and the fact that border guards had the authority to shoot has meant that they have not had to. On the Macedonian border, they would rotate the machine guns on their armored cars to bear directly on groups of illegal aliens who appeared about to storm the border, and those groups dissipated. The gunners never had to pull the trigger. Botswana built electric wires that could carry a lethal level of electricity into their border wall to keep illegal aliens out, and the fact that it can be turned on at any time has itself been a sufficient deterrent to drastically cut illegal immigration.
There are cases where the border guards do need to use their guns. When illegal aliens tried to rush a border crossing that was closed for the night, Hungarian border guards opened fire, forcing them back, but apparently were shooting over their heads as none of the illegals were reported killed or wounded. It was enough, however, to stop the border invasion. Greek border guards were not as lucky and had to shoot some of the illegals when they stormed a border post, but after that the one action was enough to deter any further attempts.
