ran on pledge to close Darien Gap route to migrants
Pamana's newly elected president, conservative lawyer and former Minister of Security Jose Raul Molino won office by a wide margin with the pledge to close down the illegal immigration corridor for US-bound migrants through his country as one of two main election promises. The Darien Gap trail through part of Panama is a key part of that migration route, and with it closed, migrants will no longer have a route by land out of South America. That is the route being used by Haitians, Venezuelans, Muslims, and Chinese among others.

I wish we had a US president as concerned about illegal migration to the US as Panama's new president. Illegal immigration is costing our taxpayers a mint, thanks to Biden. I suspect we will have a president who will crack down on this flood of illegals mooching off of our taxpayers once President Trump returns to office in January.

While we have now a second Central American president, together with El Salvador, who want to do something to stop illegal immigration to the US, we still have a traitor in our own presidency, Biden, who is pushing open borders. Sadly, when Panama gets this route shut down, Biden will probably just step up flying them in illegally.
