Excellent article. However, I was surprised you didn’t reference The Jefferson Council for the University of Virginia. We are one of the 5 founding AFSA members along with Cornell, Davidson, Princeton and W&L.

Like our friends at UNC AFSA, as a public university we are making progress. We also have a pro free speech, anti-CRT/DEI advocate in Governor Glenn Youngkin.

This is probably the only thing that you tht City do for our seniors.Please use your head and notthe citizens pocketbook to create something that is just there and occasionally visited.If we need this museum,find another building to contain it! Well, You know what SINGLE group has a HUGE HUGE advantage over others doing nearly identical work?
Public Sector workers, who are about the ONLY group still accruing service credits towards a Defined Benefit (DB) pension LONG GONE in the Private Sector. And guess what ..... RARELY do all of the workers' own contributions to that DB pension Plan (INCLUDING all of the investment earnings on their contributions) accumulate to a sum upon retirement sufficient to buy more than about 15 % of their VERY VERY generous pension. YOU, the Taxpayers, are responsible for the OTHER 85%, as well as funding 100% of your own retirement security needs (perhaps very marginally reduced by no more than a 3% of pay 401K contribution from your employer).
Sound fair to YOU, the Taxpayer ?
Of course not, and it's WAY past time for Taxpayers to demand an end to this you-scratch-my-back-and-I'll-scratch-yours arrangement between our Elected Officials and the Public Sector Unions/Workers, wherein the former SELL

I will reserve my opinion until the federal investigation is complete.l don't like the way the impeachment proceedings were conducted. To put a time limit on such a serious thing is to limit the amount of time it takes to present evidence and they seemed to be in too big a hurry to conclude it

It comes down to this question: Do you want any wild places on the planet? If the answer is yes, then you cant give all the trees to Weyerhaeuser.
