Governor McCrory Names Special Superior Court Judges | Eastern NC Now

Governor Pat McCrory has named two current judges to serve as Special Superior Court judges. They are Judge Beecher Reynolds Gray of the North Carolina Office of Administrative Hearings, and Judge Martin B. (Marty) McGee, a District Court Judge for Judicial District 19A in Cabarrus County.

    Raleigh, NC     Governor Pat McCrory has named two current judges to serve as Special Superior Court judges. They are Judge Beecher Reynolds Gray of the North Carolina Office of Administrative Hearings, and Judge Martin B. (Marty) McGee, a District Court Judge for Judicial District 19A in Cabarrus County.

    Beecher Reynolds Gray

    Gray, of Durham, has served as a North Carolina Office of Administrative Hearings judge since 1986. Previously he was a partner in the firm of Solberg and Gray and former Health Director of the Stanley County Health Department. He is also a veteran, having served as a sergeant in the United States Air Force.

    Gray earned his law degree from Wake Forest University School of Law. Previously, he earned a master's degree in public health and health administration and a bachelor's degree in political science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

    Gray is married and he and his wife, Sue, have three children.

    Martin B. (Marty) McGee

    McGee, of Concord, serves as District Court Judge for Judicial District 19A in Cabarrus County, a position he has held since 2000. Previously he was an attorney with the firm of Williams, Boger, Grady, Davis & Tuttle, P.A., in Cabarrus County.

    McGee is a Wake Forest University School of Law graduate and earned a bachelor's degree in political science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

    McGee is married and he and his wife, Debin, have two daughters.
