News Release:

Registration for Fall Semester 2014 is under way at Beaufort County Community College in a new format designed to work better with students' schedules.

Fall Semester 2014 registration is 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Thursday now through Wednesday, Aug. 13. Students may either register with their advisor or at the Advising Center in Room 920 of Building 9.

Late registration is Thursday, Aug. 14, with classes scheduled to begin Friday, Aug. 15.

In previous years, registration was held on a limited number of days. The new registration format is designed to give potential and existing students more flexibility, according to Vice President of Student Services Rick Anderson.

"With the new schedule, BCCC is trying to be more flexible and accessible to students with various time constraints and make it easier for them to pursue a college degree," said Anderson.

New student orientation, mandatory for newly-enrolled students, will be Tuesday, June 24, with sessions offered at 9 a.m. and 11 a.m.

New students may apply to enroll in BCCC at the Admissions Office in Building 9 on the BCCC campus or on the BCCC website at www.beaufortccc.edu. New students should apply at least three weeks before registration to ensure the admissions process is completed.

Tuition and fees at Beaufort County Community College are established by the N.C. General Assembly and the N.C. Board of Community Colleges. Tuition for in-state students was recently set at $71.50 per credit hour and student fees at $2 per credit hour for a total of $73.50 per credit hour.

Tuition for out-of-state students was set at $263.50 per credit hour and student fees at $2 per credit hour for a total of $265.50.

For more information about enrolling for classes at BCCC or to schedule a placement test, contact the Admissions Office at (252) 940-6237. Applications are available on the BCCC website at www.beaufortccc.edu.
