    Brian Pecheles, owner of Pecheles Ford Toyota in Washington, visited Chocowinity Middle School on May 10 with a special delivery for the school and for one of its teachers.

    Chocowinity Middle School was voted "Favorite School" during a Facebook Contest spearheaded by Pecheles Ford Toyota of Washington. The contest was an effort by Pecheles Ford Toyota to give back to schools in the county with students in grades kindergarten through 8. The prize for Chocowinity Middle School was $1,000.

Brian Pecheles, owner of Pecheles Ford Toyota in Washington, presented Chocowinity Middle School with a $1,000 check after it was named "Favorite School" in the Pecheles-sponsored Facebook campaign.     "Pecheles Ford Toyota and the Pecheles family have a long history of giving to local schools and we're proud to continue that tradition with something new," said Pecheles.

    The campaign also included an opportunity for students across the county to vote for their "Favorite Teacher."

    The distinction of "Favorite Teacher" went to Lisa Adams, a Career Technical Education teacher, also at CMS. Adams received a $250 prize.

    During the visit to CMS, Pecheles and his director of marketing, Paul Kingman, along with Superintendent of Beaufort County Schools Don Phipps, were taken on a tour of the school by the student government president and vice-president, Laura Whittington and Alyssa Peed, respectively.

    Whittington and Peed also passed along thank-you notes from the students to Pecheles.
