Press Release:

Raleigh, N.C. — Today, Governor Pat McCrory launched a new website about the Connect NC bond proposal.

"This site will serve as a central point for our citizens to learn about our plan to connect North Carolina through statewide investments in transportation, public health, education, parks and our military," said Governor McCrory. "Today, we are benefiting from the investments made by our parents and grandparents. Now is the time for us to make the investments that will benefit North Carolinians for generations to come."

Connect NC is the Governor's $2.85 billion bond proposal for strategic investments in our state's transportation and other public infrastructure that will cultivate a stronger economy and improve North Carolina's quality of life. Because the state economy is strong and growing, there is ample credit capacity to borrow and repay the bonds with no tax increase.

Kind of like the new county jail you support without a General Obligation Bond in Beaufort County.

Me thinks you should never cast stones over any taxes levied, especially those that would involve a vote of the People.
