    Raleigh, N.C. — The Office of Governor Pat McCrory announced the following appointments to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Board of Trustees.

  • Ed McMahan (Mecklenburg) — McMahan is the President and CEO of Little-McMahan group. He is also Vice Chairman of LITTLE, Diversified Architectural Consulting. He is a current member of the University of North Carolina Board of Governors. He also serves as the Chairman of the Regional Roads Commission and is an advisory board member for the Salvation Army. McMahan is a former member of the North Carolina House of Representatives. He is a graduate of UNC-Chapel Hill, where he earned a degree in Industrial Relations.
  • Hari Nath (Wake) — Nath is a retired business owner and current member of the UNC Board of Governors (BOG). As a member of the BOG, Nath serves on the Educational Planning, Policies, and Programs Committee and Public Affairs Committee. He is the founder of Technology Planning and Management Corp and served as CEO until June 2001. His other public service positions include Chair, Board of Advisors for The Carying Place.

    The UNC-Chapel Hill Board of Trustees promotes the sound development of the institution within the functions prescribed for it, helping it to serve the state in a way that will complement the activities of the other institutions and aiding it to perform at a high level of excellence in every area of endeavor. The term length is four years and begins July 1. Both men's terms on the UNC Board of Governors will end on June 30.
