Governor Rick Perry is in the Race | Eastern NC Now

Texas Governor Rick Perry, 3 1/2 term governor of the nation's most business friendly state, will run for president of these states united.

ENCNow
Texas Governor Rick Perry, 3 1/2 term governor of the nation's most business friendly state, has announced he will run for president of these states united. His speech, at the Addison, Texas air base, to announce his run for the highest office in the land was nothing short of outstanding. The best of the political season so far. The speech exhibited the fire, the passion, the intelligence that real patriots will need to take back an America that suffers from a profound identity crisis.

Flanked by Lone Survivor Marcus Luttrell (to his left), another Navy Seal (I'll get that name, to his right), Medal of Honor recipient Mike Thornton (further right), and Taya Kyle, the widow of American Sniper Chris Kyle, Rick Perry declared his bid for the 2016 Republican nomination for the presidency. It was a passionate declaration: well stated, and showed that the former Texas governor will be ready for this run, unlike his run in 2012 for the nomination, when he suffered the effects from back surgery.

Governor Perry, sounding fluent while standing in front of a C130 that he once flew as a pilot, and appearing fit for the position, may find that his chances are dramatically improved, not only because of his remarkable qualifications as Texas's multiple term governor, but because his oratorical performance the day was first rate, which suggested that Governor Perry was prepared for the grueling run for this nomination.

No questions. I fully understand your liberal Democrat position.

In "80 words or less" --- Perry is a questionable character with possible indictments over serious legal matters. It would appear that the Republican Clown Train Car is full of possible felons and cheats.

Any questions???

Wow, that is a very inclusive summation.

Stan ---- let me be succinct and up front: You are a fool to think TEXAS is anything but the famous "steers and queers" state most Drill Sergeants confront their recruits with!

While I appreciate your desire to "impart truth" --- only a fool without knowledge of the "Texas sewer after the Civil War" would think much good could come from that low-life state!

I am a Republican. Not because I was raised to be one, not because I think the Republican Party is such a wonderful brand; it isn't.

I am a Republican, because it is not the Democrat Party, which, like the great propensity of its candidates, are without values and mostly ignorant of real world solutions, and I am mostly being kind here; I could be far harsher.

Therefore, I nearly always support the Republican candidate, unless, I have personal knowledge that the Republican is a nonredeemable RINO, and that is always a possibility; more often than I care to admit in these times.

To be succinct, I am a very good judge of political 'horse flesh'; probably as good as anyone in these parts, so I will make this one analysis, as a Republican, as someone who is proven to fix government, definitely at the local level: All of the announced Republican candidates are outstanding people, and could put America back on the right track. I would vote for, and support any of them.

However, currently, my two favorites are from the state of Texas: Governor Rick Perry and Senator Ted Cruz. I believe both have the ability to be outstanding American presidents, the kind of a president we will need to repair the obvious damage wrought upon this land, at this time.

This is my opinion now. I thought you should know.
