Nina Dillon | Eastern NC Now

    Mrs. Nina Virginia Hart Dillon, age 78, a resident of 452 Edward Street, Belhaven, died Saturday, March 5, 2016 at her home.

    A visitation will be held 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM Tuesday, March 8, 2016 at Paul Funeral Home in Belhaven.

    Mrs. Dillon was born in Orchard, Colorado on January 10, 1938. She was the daughter of the late James Pearl Hart and Evaline Jessi Miller Hart. Mrs. Dillon was an independent contractor for the Washington Daily News for over 40 years. She also contracted for the Beaufort-Hyde News and the Raleigh News and Observer. Mrs. Dillon loved her job and was known for her love of animals.

    Mrs. Dillon was married to her husband of 62 years, Louis C. Dillon, Jr., who survives.

    In addition to her husband, Mrs. Dillon is survived by her children, Steve Allen Dillon, Linda Dillon Martin and husband, Ronald Martin all of Belhaven, Sandra Dillon Myers and her husband, Ellis Myers, Jr., Teresa Dillon Manning and her husband, Maurice Manning all of Pantego, Carol Dillon Sawyer and husband, Gene Sawyer of Bath; 11 grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.

    Mrs. Dillon was preceded in death by a son, David Clarence Dillon.
