News Release:

Washington Police hosted a "Terrorific Spooktacular" carnival Friday night. The turnout was great even though the temperature fell in the evening. Washington Police would like to thank everyone who helped make the event a success. Over a hundred kids/parents attended the event and please see attached photos for the winners of the contests. opening them)

Washington Police also participated in Operation Medicine Drop on Saturday. Officers were on scene at the local Wal-mart where concerned citizens turned in over 6000 pills to be destroyed. These events provide the public a safe, secure way to dispose of medications as well as removing potentially harmful drugs from the community. The event was a success and hopefully prevents someone from getting harmed by removing access to old or expired drugs.
