Ask Not What The Military Can Do For You. Ask What You Can Do For The Military. | Eastern NC Now

Nobody has a "right" to serve in the Military.

ENCNow
(This posting is most of a brilliant posting of a 9/4/17 piece published on the Internet in Leadership Diggs by Sgt. Robert Brown U.S. Army.)

The Military uses prejudice regularly and consistently to deny citizens from joining.

This is not a complete list of the reasons why the Military will reject an applicant:

    · Being too old.
    · Being too young.
    · Being too fat.
    · Being too skinny.
    · Being too tall.
    · Being too short.
    · Having flat feet.
    · Having missing fingers.
    · Having additional fingers.
    · Having poor eyesight.
    · Having bad teeth.
    · For being malnourished.
    · Having a drug addiction.
    · Having a bad back.
    · Having criminal history.
    · Having low IQ.
    · Having an anxiety problem.
    · Having phobias.
    · Having hearing damage.
    · For hear voices in your head.
    · If you need a special access ramp for your wheelchair.
    · If you can't run the required course in the required time.
    · If you can't do the required number of push ups.
    · If you are not really a "morning person" and refuse to get out of bed before noon.

Needing an operation that you can't afford is not a reason for you having a "right" to be accepted into Military Service.

    Would I kid u?
