    Mrs. Rachel Lee Howard Scott, age 45, a resident of 1110 Maple Street, Washington, NC died Thursday March 29, 2018 at her home.

    A memorial service will be held 1:00 p.m. Tuesday April 3, 2018 at First Baptist Church of Washington officiated by Rev. Greg Barmer. The family will receive friends 12 Noon until the funeral hour Tuesday at the church.

    Mrs. Scott was born in Midland, TX on August 19, 1972 daughter of the late Elmer Ellis Howard, Sr. and Sandra Marie Bentley Elliott who survives. She was a graduate of Greenwood High School in Midland, TX and continued her education in the massage therapy field. On September 2, 1993 she married Andrew Wayne Scott, Sr. who survives. Mrs. Scott dedicated her life to her family as a homemaker. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Washington.

    Surviving along with her husband: Scott of the home and mother Sandra of Midland, TX are two sons: Andrew Scott, Jr. and Austin Scott both of Washington; two brothers: Elmer Howard, Jr. of Midland, TX and Dennis Howard and two sisters: Norma Dominey of Odessa, TX and Mia Elliott of Midland, TX.

    In lieu of flowers the family kindly asks for memorial contributions be made to the Rachel Scott Memorial Fund, P.O. Box 1465, Washington, NC 27889.
