Kindergarten Registration Begins Soon | Eastern North Carolina Now

    Students must be 5 years of age on or before August 31 to register

    Registration for the five kindergarten programs within Beaufort County Schools will begin with the earliest of the registration periods at Bath Elementary School on March 29 and 30.

    To register a child for kindergarten, a parent or guardian must bring the following items to registration: Proof of Residency in Beaufort County may use any two of the following items to meet this requirement: a signed lease agreement, a rental receipt, utility bill (gas, water, or electric), current listing on income tax form or proof of home ownership Enrolling Child's Social Security Card Certified Copy of Child's Birth Certificate Immunization Records (Available from your pediatrician or the Beaufort County Health Department).

    The Kindergarten Health Assessment will be available at registration. A comprehensive eye exam is recommended for the child, but not required for enrollment. Registration for the Bath Elementary School kindergarten program will be held on Thursday, March 29 from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Friday, March 30 from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. S.W. Snowden Elementary School will hold registration on Tuesday, April 17 from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and Wednesday, April 18 from Noon to 6:00 p.m.

    Chocowinity Primary School's registration will be Monday, April 23 from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Tuesday, April 24 from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

    Eastern Elementary School will register students for kindergarten beginning Wednesday, April 25 from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Thursday, April 26 from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Friday, April 27 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

    Northeast Elementary School will hold registration on Thursday, April 26 from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and on Friday, April 27 from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. For more information on registering your child or tips for preparing new students for kindergarten, visit the Beaufort County Schools website at www.beaufort.k12.nc.us.
