    There will be a special meeting of the Washington City Council on Wednesday, August 26, 2020 at 5:30 PM. The meeting will stream on Facebook live https://www.facebook.com/CityOfWashingtonNC/

    The purpose of the meeting is for the following:

  1. Public hearing to explain CDBG funding categories
  2. Police Station design/plans
  3. Succession planning for City Council.

Today, President Donald J. Trump declared that an emergency exists in the District of Columbia and ordered Federal assistance to supplement the District's response efforts due to the emergency conditions resulting from the 59th Presidential Inauguration from January 11 to January 24, 2021.
