Conservatives should abandon Twitter, Google, Facebook etc | Eastern North Carolina Now

Commentary

We commend Rush if indeed he did delete his Twitter account.  We think President Trump should have done likewise years ago.  The Observer did.  And we think all conservatives should shun the liberal Elite Media.  We vote for Parler.com and duckduckgo.com rather than Google.  Just drop Facebook.

Conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh reportedly deleted his Twitter account shortly after President Donald Trump was banned from the platform on Friday night.

The link to Limbaugh’s account, which had amassed more than half a million followers before being deleted, now leads to a page that reads: “This account doesn’t exist[.] Try searching for another.” Rumors swirled that Twitter had suspended the account, but a spokesperson for Twitter told both CNN reporter Oliver Darcy and Fox News reporter Joseph Wulfsohn that whoever controls the account deactivated it.

“A Twitter spokesperson tells me the company did not suspend Rush Limbaugh’s account. In other words, it appears Limbaugh (or someone acting on his behalf) deactivated it,” Darcy tweeted.

Wulfsohn tweeted, “Twitter SPOX: ‘I would like to correct that He is not suspended. The user deactivated their account.'”

The reason behind the deletion of Limbaugh’s Twitter account is unknown, but it follows the social media company banning the president on Friday. When Trump attempted to tweet from other accounts, such accounts were also suspended.

On Thursday, a day after the Capitol riots, Limbaugh said, “We’re supposed to be horrified by the protesters. There’s a lot of people out there calling for the end of violence. A lot of conservatives, social media, who say that any violence or aggression at all is unacceptable regardless of the circumstances. I am glad Sam Adams, Thomas Paine, the actual Tea Party guys, the men at Lexington and Concord, didn’t feel that way.”

Twitter clamped down on Trump on Friday after the the chaos at the Capitol earlier this week. As The Daily Wire reported:

President Donald Trump started tweeting again late on Friday night by using his official White House account following Twitter’s ban on his personal account.

“As I have been saying for a long time, Twitter has gone further and further in banning free speech, and tonight, Twitter employees have coordinated with the Democrats and the Radical Left in removing my account from their platform, to silence me — and YOU, the 75,000,000 great patriots who voted for me,” Trump wrote. “Twitter may be a private company, but without the government’s gift of Section 230 they would not exist for long. I predicted this would happen. We have been negotiating with various other sites, and will have a big announcement soon, while we also look at the possibilities of building out our own platform in the near future.”

“We will not be SILENCED! Twitter is not about FREE SPEECH,” he concluded. “They are all about promoting a Radical Left platform where some of the most vicious people in the world are allowed to speak freely. STAY TUNED!”

Twitter deleted the tweets that Trump posted to his government account within approximately 5 minutes of the tweets going up.

Twitter announced late on Friday afternoon that it was banning Trump in the wake of the riot that broke out in Washington, D.C., this week following a rally that the president held.

Where do you stand on the wanton censorship by Big Tech Platforms, while retaining their Section 230 carveout indemnifying them for Slander /Defamation lawsuits and Copyright infringements?
Big Tech Platforms have the right to Censor all speech providing they voluntarily relinquish their Section 230 Carveout.
Big Tech Platforms DO NOT have the right to Censor any speech, while retaining multiple indemnifications by virtue of the Section 230 Carveout.
I know nothing of this 230 talk, but "I do love me some social media".

All Patriots should follow Rush Limbaugh's lead and delete our Twitter accounts. In fact we should flee from all the Big Tech accounts possible that are engaging in this coordinated attack on free speech, our country and on our way of life. Further, Patriots should not do business with any corporate entity that is pushing this dishonest totalitarian doctrine down the throats of free people.

Many in the corporate world are actively working to transform or reset our world to reflect their vision of how things should be. They are opposed to our constitution and Bill of Rights and in fact are working to tear down Western Civilization itself.

If they are successful in their dastardly plans they will implement a worldwide neo feudalism on the free world. Their plans for making our grandchildren peasant serfs in their newly designed world just doesn't sit right with me.

Amazon is the one piece of the puzzle where losing any Section 230 Carveout would not hurt them.

What could hurt them in an Anti Trust breakup is how they handle their massive server business, or censor writers of books by decent, smart people. And, if they censor decent folk who they might have political disagreements with, they need no local carveouts.

My more libertarian opinion is they should not get any government carveouts, but what needs to be known is this truth of Amazon's /Bezos's utter disdain for the 1st Amendment to offer politicians the ammunition to not rush to hand over this plethora of local public benefits to this behemoth - Amazon.

In summary, by treating the Amazon leviathan like all other businesses, like the ones they damage and put out of business for good, it will be essential for local politicians to deny local government carveouts because of these discovered and well discussed censorship practices.

Conservative should abandon Amazon, as should everyone who values free speech. Amazon has joined the Big Tech conspiracy against Parler by knocking the free speech social media site off their web hosting service with almost no notice. This was a far left totalitarian act by Jeff Bozos of Amazon. If you are into e-shopping, please use Amazon's smaller competitors. You can even use Amazon's site to find them, but just do not link to Amazon to use them. That would give Amazon a cut. Instead, once you discover who else is selling what you want, go direct to that smaller company's own site (NOT through the Amazon link) and buy directly from the smaller company.

I have an broad working idea, with many integrated components.

It is time to strike. There will never be a better time than now.

Mozilla, the parent company of Firefox has announced it intends to "go beyond deplatforming" in censoring free speech. This is another company to avoid. A good and non-political browser is Brave, which was developed by a former CEO of Mozilla who had been run off due to a conservative political contribution he had made.

Poland's populist right Law and Justice government knows how to protect free speech and has a new law out to crack down on Big Tech if they try to suppress the legal speech of Polish citizens. The law creates a new court specifically to handle Big Tech censorship. If Big Tech censors lawful speech by a Polish citizen, they can apply to this court for an order directing the Big Tech company to restore the speech. If the Big Tech company refuses to comply, the court can fine them in a sum of over one million US dollars per occurence.

A somewhat similar bill to give redress to citizens whose free speech has been trampled upon by Big Tech has already been introduced in Arizona.

We good patriots should disentangle ourselves when we can, as we can from those Big Tech usurpers of the Constitution, who would endeavor to manage our thoughts through the elimination of unencumbered Freedom of Speech.

This publication has the potential to do exactly what Facebook does, but without the insipid "Likes".

We are seeing a Digital Iron Curtain imposed by Big Tech, which is using the incident at the Capitol the same way the Nazis used the Reichstag fire (and both were probably false flag setups from the beginning) to suppress their opponents. Both Apple and Google have demanded that Parler start censoring its site or they will no longer sell the Parler app on their app stores. Apple, Google, Facebook, and Twitter are all enemies of free speech and have a totalitarian mindset. Conservatives needs to completely dump all of them. Take a hammer to your Android phone - it is Google.
