Alice Dillon Walker Lynch, age 87, of Washington, N.C., died Thursday June 3, 2021. She died peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Murray Bud Lynch, Jr. and sister, Marina Hoyt Walker. She graduated from Washington High School in 1952 and from St. Mary's Junior College in 1954. She made her debut at the Terpsichorean Ball of North Carolina in 1953. Dill graduated from Woman's College in 1956, now UNC- Greensboro.

Dill was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She loved to travel and enjoyed many trips with her family and friends. She was a teacher, coach and literacy volunteer. Dill was an active member of St. Peter's Episcopal Church, where she married Bud Lynch on July 27, 1957. She served several terms on the vestry and two years as Senior Warden.     Dill was active in sports all her life and excelled at many including tennis, basketball and golf.
