Ronald Carrow | Eastern NC Now

    Ronald Melvin Carrow age 86, a resident of Pinetown, NC died Saturday September 10, 2021 at his home.

    A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday September 14, 2021 at the Carrow Family Cemetery in Pinetown and will be officiated by Pr. Greg Bell and Pr. Jay N. Baggett. Pallbearers include Larry Waters, Hugh Boyd, Ken Carrow, Tony Waters, John Richard Bell, and Mitchell Morgan. Honorary pallbearers include Johnny Mizelle and Cecil Wallace.

    Mr. Carrow was born on February 17, 1935 to Leah and Thomas "Sweet" Carrow. He served in the United States Army from February 1958 to February 1960 with a tour in Korea. He retired from Ford Motor Company in Chesapeake, Virginia in 1986 after 30 years. Mr. Carrow moved back to North Carolina and returned to his home church, Pinetown Missionary Baptist Church where he served as Treasurer for 33 years.

    Survivors include his wife of 34 years Alma Carrow of the home, a daughter, Rhonda C. Carter and Ken of Rock Hill, SC, a brother, Roscoe Carrow of Plymouth.

    He is preceded in death by his parents, an infant daughter, Amy Lynn Carrow, sisters, Edith Boyd, Mildred Mizelle, Ruth Waters, Eula Lee Mobley, Rachel Salyers, Viola Ange, Naomi Hardison, brothers Mervin Carrow, Oscar Carrow, and Richard Carrow.

    The family will receive friends from 6:00PM until 8:00PM Monday September 13, 2021 at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory of Washington and other times at the home.
