Annie Estelle Craig Allen | Eastern North Carolina Now

    Mrs. Annie Estelle Craig Allen, age 90, a resident of Pantego, NC died Saturday June 17, 2022, at ECU Health Hospital in Washington.

    A graveside funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday June 21, 2022, at Pamlico Memorial Gardens officiated by Dr. Keith Gardner. The family will receive friends following the service at the cemetery.

    Mrs. Allen was born in Beaufort County on December 5, 1931, daughter of the late Richard Jahue Craig, Sr., and the late Martha Estelle Latham Craig. She was a graduate of Bath High School. On May 25, 1951, she married William "Billy" Allen who preceded her in death on November 21, 1997. As a homemaker, she loved working in her yard and flower garden, mowing her grass on a riding lawnmower, sewing, and crocheting. Many family members and friends in the community can attest to how tasty her collards were. She was a member of Trinity Free Will Baptist Church.

    Survivors include her children: Sharon Allen Stocks (Van) of Greenville, Frederick "Fred" C. Allen of Pantego; her caregivers; Eva Woolard, and Paula Webster both of Pantego; grandchildren: Allen Stocks, Erica Evans, Tarasa Lewis, Marty Marlow, Darrell Marlow, and Christy Adcock; fifteen great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren, and was expecting her third great great grandchild. Mrs. Allen was the last living child of her parents.
