‘Act Of Love,’ ‘Best Decision I Ever Made’: Democrat Witnesses Gush Over Abortion | Eastern North Carolina Now

Democratic witnesses during a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing this week gushed over abortion as an "act of love" and "self-care."

The hearing was aimed at discussing abortion and the legal consequence of the Supreme Court's decision in Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization, which overturned landmark case Roe v. Wade, effectively kicking back abortion restrictions to the state.

"Abortion is healthcare," said Sarah Lopez, an abortion storyteller for pro-abortion group We Testify. "My abortion was the best decision I ever made, and an act of self-love."

The Blaze's Allie Beth Stuckey, a pro-life advocate, was one of the politicos who reacted to the testimony.

"'My abortion was an act of self-love.' She's correct," Stuckey said. "She loved herself, her convenience, and her comfort so much that she was willing to kill her child for them. That's why the Bible says godless people in the end days will be 'lovers of self.'"

In another shocking moment from the hearing, Planned Parenthood's Dr. Colleen P. McNicholas called abortion an "act of love."

"Abortion is normal. It is an act of love. And it fundamentally is healthcare," said McNicholas, who serves as a chief medical officer at the abortion business.

The Heritage foundation slammed the doctor. "This abortion advocate claims abortion is an 'act of love,'" the group said. "Abortion ends an innocent human life and is the opposite of health care. Lying does not make it so."

Other Democratic witnesses refused to name any limits on abortion that they supported, instead asserting that "abortion is healthcare."

During the hearing on Tuesday, GOP Senator Josh Hawley (MO) notably had a contentious exchange with abortion rights advocate and University of California at Berkeley Law professor Khiara Bridges, who refused to say only women can get pregnant and condemned Hawley as "transphobic," The Daily Wire reported.

"Many women, cis women, have the capacity for pregnancy; many cis women do not have the capacity for pregnancy," Bridges claimed. "There are also trans men who are capable of pregnancy as well as non-binary people who are capable of pregnancy."

"I want to recognize that your line of questioning is transphobic ... and it opens up trans people to violence by not recognizing them," the professor charged, later adding that Hawley was "denying that trans people exist and pretending not to know that they exist."

With Roe v Wade (originated in 1973) overturned by the US Supreme Court, thereby allowing decisions on abortion legislation completely returned to the states: Where do you find your position on such a "Life and Death" issue for the American People?
Yes, I approve of the US Supreme Court's decision to reinstate this "medical" issue back to the states' legislative responsibility to regulate.
No, I believe that every woman should have complete access to abortion on demand.
This issue is far beyond my intellectual capacity to understand.

With respect to the leaked opinion not yet written for ratification regarding the U.S. Supreme Court's revisiting the original decision of Roe v Wade, whence now nonstop protests have erupted in neighborhoods where U.S. Supreme Court justices live, exhibiting the firm intent to intimidate these officers of the highest court in the land: What action should the federal authorities take?
Do nothing ... Protests are a fixture of a free society.
Enforce the law ... Federal codes exist to prohibit any intimidation through the pubic harassment of federal judges, especially Supreme Court justices.
I have no idea, however, northern Virginia School Board Members must be shielded from protests at all costs.

Inarguably, the policies of the Democrats in congress and Joe Biden as the Executive is plunging the United States into a recession, if we are not already there; a recession that was completely avoidable. Will abrupt changes in policies occur in time?
Yes, the Democrats have a bold plan, yet to be revealed, to save us.
No, there will have to be a complete undoing of the damage done by these Democrats.
I can't do simple math, so how am I to understand the concept of basic economics.
