"Saturday Night Live" alum and standup comedian Jim Breuer recently shared how his wife's cancer diagnosis has affected his faith and relationship with God.

During an episode of "The Breuniverse Podcast," Breuer recalled a conversation with a friend about his wife, who was only given months to live by her doctor.

"The doctor says, 'Nothing we can do. It's everywhere,'" the comedian recalled, The Blaze reported. "Your life as you know it, changes like that. Your whole life flashes."

Later in the podcast, Breuer revealed that his wife has survived five years with terminal cancer.

"I know you're spiritual and you believe in God, and your wife is deep into the word of Jesus, and born-again, she found her faith many years ago," the SNL alum recalled a friend telling him. "How does that affect that now? ... Are you mad? Are you mad at God? Does that screw up your faith?"

"I said to be dead honest with you, not at all," Breuer said he responded.

"If anything, I'm not mad at what I will not have," he continued. "I'm not mad of what's being taken away. I'm not mad about what I'm not gonna have anymore, but I am so damn blessed for what I had, and what I still have."

    "Woah!" his friend reacted.

"Do you know how many people never had the relationship I did and still have?" Breuer told his listeners. "Do you know how many incredible, lifesaving, emotional, deep-saving moments I've had with my wife Dee?"

"As a matter of fact, I see it even deeper now. I thought I saw it, but I see it deeper now," he said.

"You can either turn your back and be mad or you can look at it as, 'Wow! I didn't realize how beautiful life is and was when it's right in front of you,'" an emotional Breuer offered. "Start looking at the beauty right in front of you with yourself."

"I'll never be mad at God," he asserted. "I cannot believe the beauty that surrounds me, I can't believe the beauty that is given to me."

The comedian said he was blessed to hold his dying father in his arms when he passed.

"This really has to do, in my opinion, a deeper spirituality, God the Lord, however you want to put it," he said. "I hope you find it, I hope you tap into it. It'll help you spread light to so many others. So many others."
