NEW YORK CITY, NY     Saturday Night Live has launched yet another season featuring more parodies of former President Donald Trump. The cast and crew stated they would love to make fun of the current president too if only he ever did anything at all deserving of mockery.

"Sadly, we just can't think of anything funny to say about an 80-year-old president who talks to ghosts, wanders aimlessly around the room, and says weird racist things at inappropriate times, " said producer Lorne Michaels. "Oh well - time to make fun of Trump again!"

According to sources the rest of the cast felt the same way. "Are there any jokes we can make about the most powerful man in the world who says things like 'lying dog-faced pony soldier'? Ah crap, I'm coming up empty here," said Kenan Thompson. "Believe me, we'd be the first to parody Biden if he so much as slipped on the stairs, crashed his bicycle, claimed to be Puerto Rican, or flat-out exhibited all the defining symptoms of dementia."

When confronted by journalists Lorne Michaels replied, "Look, our job is to satirize the biggest, most important issues of the day - like a President who is no longer in power and living at a golf resort. We're not here to ridicule the man in office who sniffs kids and makes up nonsensical words. Now, maybe if he had an unlikable VP who talks like a 7-year-old child in speeches, we'd have some good material."

At publishing time, SNL producer Lorne Michaels finally caved and directed his team to tell some jokes about Biden once they hire a single funny cast member.

Considering that Joe Biden is considered by so many to be the Imposter President: Is he actually knowledgeable enough, wise enough, patriotic enough to be this Constitutional Republic's president at this difficult point in these tumultuous times?
Yes, Mr. Biden is thoughtful and kind, and just so different from the "Orange Man".
No, this representation of "president" is either too corrupt, too stupid, or both to be a real president.
I just want the fun guy, who knew how to make stuff work back.

Well Jay: This is where we differ; I have no heroes except my Lord and Savior. Secondly, you know nothing about what constitutes a "Conservative."

However, I do enjoy laughing at what is immutably stupid. I think that is why I am so impressed by the Babylon Bee. They know what stupid is, and often, "punch down."

Stan: it never is funny when the joke is at the expense of someone you idolize, everyone can make a joke at someone else's expense but the true test of one's self is being able to look introspectively and laugh at a joke made about you or your heroes. This is where conservatives struggle with humor, and where libertarians amd liberals don't, Conservatives can't make fun of themselves they can only punch down.

Just out of curiosity Jeff, since I can't take the time to spend on SNL (since it is not funny), how are they treating America's First Idiot President - ?

That Fool keeps me in stitches because it is better to laugh at a fool than take them as serious people.

You can tell a lot about someone by their ability to take a joke. Every other US president since the show started has had jokes made about them. Only Trump and his weird cult are such hypersensitive pansies that they cannot handle it. Every despot and wannabe despot is the same, can't joke about Putin, Kim Jong, Xi etc either.

Jay: Still, SNL is not funny, if it was more people would watch.

In a nation with a growing population, SNL has more than lost over half of its audience. It just is not funny, and many of their former cast members /writers agree.

Conservatives have never been able to take a joke, they've been trying to get SNL canceled since the first season. Reagan is the only Conservative politician that didn't cry when he was teased.
