BCCC to offer safe driving classes


    The Division of Continuing Education will offer an "Arrive Alive" classes this spring for those who want to improve their driving skills.

    The six-hour course, approved by the American Automobile Association, will be offered on Saturday, April 13, from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in Room 830 of Building 8 on the BCCC campus. The registration fee is $50 and is non-refundable once the class is held.

    AAA-certified Instructor Doris Daniel will cover practical strategies that will help students learn to drive defensively.

    The class is designed for those who have received speeding tickets, need a refresher course in safe driving, need a training course for their work or want to improve their driving skills. BCCC can customize this class for any business or non-profit agency that would like to host training for their drivers or employees.

BCCC offers notary public class


    The Division of Continuing Education at Beaufort County Community will offer a Notary Public class 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday, April 16 and 17, in the auditorium of Building 8 on the BCCC campus.

    Various topics related to the duties of a notary public will be covered in the class. It is required for those wishing to become notary publics in North Carolina. Individuals should review the notary qualifications list on the N.C. Secretary of State's website at www.secretary.state.nc.us/notary before registering for the class.

    The registration fee for the class is $65. The required textbook, available in the BCCC bookstore prior to the class, is $27.
