German public health authorities warned lockdowns do more harm than good | Eastern NC Now

politicians buried their warnings

ENCNow

Recently released confidential files from Germany's public health agency, the Robert Koch Institute (RFI) reveal that the agency had raised objections to politicians over lockdowns of society and mask requirements in response to Covid.  RFI warned the govenrment that lockdowns would do more medical harm than good and that there was no scientific basis for the mask mandates.

These files had been kept secret until a lawsuit forced their release.  However, the RFI has redacted a thousand pages of the files and there are efforts contuing to get those released.  The big question is why government was demanding all of these draconian measures when their public health expert advice was telling them not to.

It should have been well understood when German public health authorities told their politicians at the onset of the Covid crisis that 1) lockdowns do more harm than good, and 2) masks don't work, their politicians should have taken that advice and not imposed their Stasi-style Covid police state.

Public health is well understood.

The people with the real brains on virology and epidemiology correctly told us that following a herd immunity strategy was the best way to deal with Covid. They turned out to be right. Politicians and glory seekers went the totalitarian Chinese lockdown route, and they turned out to be wrong. This is just another one of those areas where Little Bobbie is pushing the Chinese viewpoint. It was the Red Chinese who came up with the lockdown strategy.

Hindsight tells us that if we had followed the herd immunity strategy of the pre-Tedros WHO and of renowed Oxford University epidemiologist Dr. Suneta Gupta, instead of the lockdowns, we would have had better outcomes from Covid. But they told us that in the beginning and our politicians were too bull headed to follow it. Now we learn that German public health authorities also told their politicians that lockdowns were counterproductive and masks don't work, but the politiicans would not listen.

Sweden stayed normal, and did not have to wait for the questionable vaccines, and we could have as well. Indeed a domestic flight within Sweden was about the only place in the western world one could fly on an airplane without one of those ridiculous masks. So did South Dakota.

Hind site tells us covid was not as bad as it could have been. After it killed the first million and we had vaccines, getting back to normal was possible.

When the next one hits, a mort rate 5- 10% or higher... you bet we will lock down.

There are only a few areas where the federal government can impose health mandates. The military was one. People entering the country was another, where Biden allowed illegal aliens to come in unvaccinated but those entering the country legally to show proof of vaccination. For most of us, we either lived in a free state like Florida or South Dakota or a Covid dictatorship like Michigan or New York. In some cases, counties told their state governments to get stuffed and refused to enforce state mandates. Many sheriffs in eastern NC, for example, did that.

Actually they do. We dont like to think about it but the Federal government has a lot of power. Ask any decentest of Japanese Americans interned in camps during WWII.
