City of Washington announces one-hour delay for tomorrow a.m. | Eastern North Carolina Now

The City of Washington Administrative Offices will delay opening until 10 a.m. on Tuesday, due to expected poor driving conditions in the early morning.

This delay applies only to the non-essential office personnel. All other employees are expected to report to their work stations at their regularly scheduled hour or as soon as road conditions allow.

The City of Washington Recreation Centers will open at 10 a.m. Citizens using the centers are encouraged not to take undue risk in getting to centers for recreational activities.

The Brown Public Library will open at 10 a.m., and, again, Library patrons are encouraged not to take undue risk in getting to the library for library activities.
