Judy Faye Mobley Weston | Eastern NC Now

    Judy Faye Mobley Weston, age 79, a resident of Blounts Creek, NC died Thursday January 16, 2025 at ECU Health Beaufort Hospital.

    A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday January 23, 2025 at Elizabeth Chapel Church of Christ and will be officiated by Kent Gurganus. A private burial will follow at Weston Family Cemetery. Pallbearers include Geoffrey Weston, Kaleb Weston, Chris Hurdle, Bruce Lee, Milton Long, and David Williams.

    The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until the funeral hour at the church.

    Mrs. Weston was born on January 30, 1945 to the late James H. Mobley, Sr. and Margaret Alligood Mobley. She was a 1963 graduate of Chocowinity High School. On June 8, 1963 she married Phil Rodrick Weston, Sr. who preceded her in death on February 20, 2018. She was a former member of Haw Branch Church of Christ and an active member of Elizabeth Chapel Church of Christ. Mrs. Weston enjoyed mowing grass, reading, doing word search puzzles, going out to eat, going to Scoops to get ice cream and going to church.

    Survivors include her four children, Debbie Weston Williams (Greg) of Blounts Creek, Rita Weston Rowe (Larry) of Blounts Creek, Phil Rodrick "Rod" Weston, Jr. (Susie) of Trenton, Michael Brian Weston (Martha) of Washington, nine grandchildren, Lauren Hurdle (Chris), Kristen Lee (Bruce) Rosalyn Rowe, David Rowe, Geoffrey Weston (Codie), Kaleb Weston (Kristen) Abigail Weston, Jesse Weston, Kaliea Weston, 8 great grandchildren, a brother, Jimmy Mobley, Jr. (Judy), and two sisters, Linda Whitehurst (Tommy) and Brinda Smith (Donnie).

    She is preceded in death by a grandchild, baby Weston, and a sister, Nancy Elaine Mobley.
