    WASHINGTON     October is National Breast Cancer Awareness month - the month dedicated to educating women about breast cancer by stressing the importance of early detection through regular self-breast exams and mammography. Vidant Health is empowering thousands of women across eastern North Carolina in the fight against breast cancer through early detection, treatment and recovery. Vidant Beaufort Hospital, Vidant Pungo Hospital and our physician partners can give you the power, too. Learn more by attending our Pink Power event, women's health fair and breast cancer screenings.     If you are in the Belhaven or Aurora area, take the Vidant Health "Pink Power Express" bus to the Beaufort County Community College. Meet in front of Vidant Pungo Hospital or Vidant Family Medicine-Aurora. Depart at 10:30 am; return at 2:15 pm.

    Hear DeLores Pressley, a sought-after expert on confidence and motivation, presenting The Power of an UP Woman. You'll be inspired by her mantra, "Be Undeniably Powerful," and motivated to take back the power that belongs to you.
