Paul Boyd | Eastern NC Now

    Paul Boyd went on to be with the Lord early the morning of June 23, 2025. He was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Carol Boyd, and is survived by his three children, Jason Owen Boyd, Jeanne Boyd Harris and Melissa T. Boyd.

    He was grandfather to Darren (Jessica) and Brandon Harris and a great-grandfather to Skylar, Elizabeth, Thomas and Landon Harris. Paul was one of twelve children born to Eva Oressa Latham Boyd and Thad Boyd Sr. He was born January 2nd, 1942 and is survived by Mark Boyd and Marsha Lee Hamilton. He was preceded in death by Thad Boyd Jr., Daniel Boyd Sr., Rufus Boyd, Callie Braddy, Lula Mae Woolard, Blanche Congleton, Annie Myrtle Winstead, Mary Whitley and Lucy Sullivan.

    Paul was a 1960 graduate of Bath High School and served in the National Guard for several years after his graduation. A long-time farmer, Paul spent the majority of his days from sunup to sundown working the fields of his family farm before finally retiring after 60+ years. Paul was a faithful attendee and founding member of Five Points Free Will Baptist Church.

    Paul's children would like to thank all of the family, friends, doctors, nurses and specifically the staff at Amedisys Hospice for your support during this time. You have made this time of transition a much easier process. Your love and support has been much appreciated.

    He was cremated by Paul Funeral Home of Washington and asked that no service of remembrance or memorial be provided. Donations in lieu of flowers can be sent to Five Points Free Will Baptist Church, 12357 NC-32 North, Washington, NC 27889 in his memory.
