NC Board of Elections removes 34,000 dead voters from the rolls | Eastern NC Now

new GOP board astounded at number of dead voters on rolls inherited from democrat run board

ENCNow

When Republicans regained a majority on the NC Board of Elections, after many years of it being run by Democrats, they began serious efforts to clean up the voter registration lists, targeting improperly registered voters, foreign citizens registered to vote, deceased voters and other group that are not legally allowed to vote.  The concept is that only those entitled to vote should be voting.

The latest effort has been to identify and remove deceased voters.  They found an incredible 34,000 of them on North Carolina voting rolls.  Voters are supposed to be routinely removed when they die by their local boards, but in many cases, this clearly was not happening.

Deceased voters are a known voting block for the Democrats, so maybe we should expect protests from them over the voting "rights" of the deceased.
